Dr. Foyouzi is one of a few (fewer than 10) reproductive geneticists in the US and she has been trained in top institutions and is very knowledgeable and skillful with the most advanced cutting-edge technologies and infertility treatment procedures. Dr. Foyouzi continues to contribute to the medical community through her research on using fertility treatments to improve pregnancy rates. We also offer genetic counseling to patients with a cancer history who plan to do fertility preservation or families with affected children who want to have unaffected children, as well as HLA-matching genetic services for families that need an HLA-matched embryo

What to Expect
We understand that coordinating travel with fertility treatment can be daunting, so whether you’re coming to us from across the country or across the globe, our coordinators will work with you to make your experience as smooth as possible.
Virtual Consultation:
A virtual or telephone consultation may be arranged for patients who are unable to travel to our offices. We recommend that you contact us at least two months prior to the planned start of treatment. Please provide relevant records of prior testing and treatment. During the initial consultation, our experienced doctors will review your medical history and fertility goals, review treatment options, and recommend a plan. Please note that every patient is different, and each treatment plan is tailored to individual needs. It takes about 6-8 weeks to have all the labs ready.

Our office is in the heart of Beautiful La Jolla and conveniently located near all major airports and highways. it is easily accessible by public transit, making it the ideal destination for fertility travel. We offer Concierge services for patients who would like a special, high-end treatment. We could also give some suggestions for lodging and what to do in San Diego while you are here. Departure:
Your departure is based on if you want to do a fresh transfer, frozen transfer with preimplantation genetic testing, or use a surrogate. If you plan for frozen embryo transfer or using a surrogate, you can safely go back home and return when you are ready for the transfer. It takes about 2 weeks to have the embryo’s genetic testing result. If you plan to do the fresh transfer, then plan to stay for an additional 6 days after your retrieval (total of 20-22 days). If you plan to use a surrogate, then the time frame will be the same as the frozen embryo transfer, excluding surrogate profile, review, approval, and surrogate evaluation. The average time is based on how long it takes to choose the surrogate. It takes about 4-6 weeks after Surrogate approval to start the process of Frozen embryo transfer.
